Our inn is fortunate enough to be nestled between two well-known fishing harbours, Naufrage and North Lake better known as the "Bluefin Capital". Here some of the world's biggest tuna have been caught, from 800 - 2000 pounds. Whether you choose a day of trying your luck or simply watching the fishermen bring them in at the harbour, you will not be disappointed. Click on the heading to meet our Aquatic Partners and book with them.
One hundred and fifty years ago PEI was the regional powerhouse of the Maritimes. As such, it was the site of the convention that would lead to Confederation and the creation of Canada. Take a trip through time and discover the story of PEI from the ancient roots of Mi'kmaq settlements to the arrival, rise and fall of European imperial ambitions. Wrecks abound! Some the tragic result of Nature's fury and some the result of tyranny. Rum runners plied their trade along the shores and coves that have seen human activity for the last 5,000 years.
Another must see is the National Park at Greenwich (20 minutes away). Here you will find 900 acres of a protected dune system and a wonderful interpretive centre explaining the history and culture of the area. Experience beautiful walking trails and a floating board walk that is not only remarkable but simply beautiful.
